For those of you that don't know me, I'm Priya the owner of Ramola London Jewellery. I thought I'd come and tell you all what I've been up to over lockdown.
Similar to other local independent brands (which I'm sure you all support) lockdown hit pretty hard. With only uncertainty in front, I decided to close my online doors on 23rd March. I thought it would be best off, it meant less trips to the post office. It also meant, that I could finally crack on with some bits that I really didn't have the time to do before. ...Mainly, re-branding.
As much as I love my original logo, it truly was just me playing around on Word, and it stuck. -If you've read the ABOUT page, you'll know the story of how I came up with the name Ramola.
During lockdown, I decided to work with a Graphic Designer. A professional, someone who actually knows their stuff and doesn't rely on Word. *face palm*! I chose to work with an amazing woman, called Jade Cox. Jade owns a self-named graphic design company, Jade Cox Design. I was drawn to her. Like me, she started a small independent business. We are from similar areas, and I'd seen some of the work she had done for other local small companies. So, it was clear, a perfect fit.
It was obvious to me that I wanted to stick with black and white. I love the look, I think it's sleek. Plus, no matter what my jewellery is doing at the time, black and white will always show it off. Easy, no brainer. I also knew that I wanted to stay in the handwritten realm. I just wanted more of an edge.
I got exactly what I wanted. (Thank you Jade! YAY!) After a few back and fourths, we settled on a STUNNING new logo. I may be biased, but I truly think it's stunning. A blend of edgy and relaxed.
So, here they are..my beautiful new logos.
You will start to see these on marketing materials, and in the coming months on packaging.
Thank you all for your continued support, especially in these uncertain times. I can't wait to re-open my online doors, and don't worry, you all will be the first to know.
